Right-click a saved query in the Queries tool window and choose Watch for new matches. While Flux runs, the query is asked every minute (or the interval you choose) and new matches are announced with a notification, a sound if you like, and a row on the island. Alert when › Nothing arrives turns a watch around: it fires when fewer than so many lines arrive in a round, which is how a cron or a webhook that went quiet makes itself heard.

New errors

Every five minutes, Flux counts each project’s failures by template — the message with its ids and numbers masked. The first look takes the day before as what the project already has; after that, a template it never had is a new error, announced on the island and as a notification, together with the pull request merged into the project’s repository shortly before it, when there was one. A known error that suddenly runs at four times its usual hourly rate is announced as escalating. Errors, above Monitor on the left, lists each project’s errors with their last 24 hours, filtered by project and by New, Open, Ignored or Resolved. Pick one to see who it hits — how many users and orders, which routes, hosts and versions — the version it was first seen in, the merge it came after, and its latest lines; double-click it for a console on its lines. Ask Claude to fix investigates the error’s newest line and pastes the case into the terminal where Claude Code runs. From the same place or its right-click menu you can also Investigate it, find where it is logged, start a Jira issue, snooze it for an hour or a day, ignore it unless it escalates, or Resolve it: a resolved error that comes back is announced again. Settings › Advanced › New errors turns the looks off.

With the window closed

While a query is watched or a project’s errors are being looked at, closing the window does not quit Flux: it leaves the Dock and stays in the menu bar, still watching. Open Flux in its menu brings the window back, and Quit Flux quits. Settings › Advanced › Window closed turns this off, and the red button quits again.

The island

Flux draws an island under the notch, over every app: what is running, what is being followed, the watches with news, a deploy on the radar, a terminal command that just finished, and the agent’s calls. It can be muted for an hour, and it asks to be left out of screen sharing.
