The timeline over a result shows the message count per bucket, and — when the stream logs durations and statuses — the 95th percentile and the failure rate over it. Hold ⌥ and drag across a spike. Flux compares the stretch with the three times as long before it, over fields such as version, service, host and route, and lists the values that make up a far larger share of the spike than of the time before: Click a row to narrow the console to that value. Dragging without ⌥ narrows the range instead. With a project’s GitHub repository set, the pull requests merged during the window are drawn on the timeline, so a spike that starts just after one is a question with half its answer.
